"A Life-Changing Process" . "Before we worked with "A Life-Changing Process"
.
"Before we worked with Maria, our son was completely reliant on a bottle to fall asleep, and had regressed from sleeping through the night to waking up every night and crying for hours despite our best efforts to soothe him. Our family was utterly exhausted and our son was not his typical happy self. What we were doing wasn’t working, so we decided to put our trust in Maria and her process. We were diligent about completing a daily sleep log and we committed to following her detailed sleep plan, even if doubts crept in. Maria was quickly able to identify sleep crutches and mixed messages we were sending to our son. By the time we finished working with Maria, we could hardly believe the difference. I can now put my son in his crib while he’s completely awake and leave the room, and he falls asleep independently without tears. He sleeps for 11-12 hours straight at night, and he enjoys his sleep so much that I have to cap his naps! But the greatest reward of all, is how happy my son is again. I simply can’t put a price on that." (Jaina)

Incorporating baby massage into your bedtime routi Incorporating baby massage into your bedtime routine can have several benefits for both you and your baby. Here are some considerations:

1. Create a Calm Environment: Choose a quiet and comfortable space in your home where you can perform the massage. Ensure the room is warm and free from distractions. Dim the lights or use soft lighting to create a soothing ambiance.

2. Choose the Right Time: Select a time that works best for you and your baby. Many parents find that incorporating baby massage after bath time or before putting on their baby's sleepwear works well in establishing a bedtime routine.

3. Use Appropriate Massage Oil: Select a natural and baby-friendly oil for the massage. Make sure the oil is at a comfortable temperature by rubbing it between your palms before applying it to your baby's skin.

4. Start with Gentle Strokes: Begin the massage with slow and gentle strokes, using light pressure. Start at your baby's legs and work your way up to their chest, back, and arms. Be attentive to your baby's cues and adjust your pressure accordingly.

5. Engage in Eye Contact and Soft Vocalizations: This helps create a sense of connection and relaxation during the massage. You can sing lullabies or use a calm and soothing tone of voice to enhance the soothing atmosphere.

6. Focus on Bonding and Communication: While massaging, talk to your baby and use gentle touch as a way to communicate your love and care. This bonding time can promote a sense of security and relaxation for your little one.

7. End with a Tranquil Transition: Gradually wind down the massage as you approach the end of the routine. You can use slower strokes and lighter touch to help transition your baby to a relaxed state. Consider softly singing or humming a lullaby as you prepare to put your baby to bed.

Remember, baby massage should be a gentle and enjoyable experience for both you and your baby. It can help promote relaxation, improve circulation, soothe your baby's muscles, and enhance your bonding time. However, it's always a good idea to consult with your pediatrician before starting any new practices to ensure it is suitable for your baby's specific needs. Happy massage!

Short naps are common. Because nap lengths can var Short naps are common. Because nap lengths can vary, this can affect for how long your baby can be awake. So, until his naps are longer, your baby's schedule will not be super consistent. Don't stress about it! Especially if your baby is younger than 6 months.
.
What to do? Watch you baby and the clock, and do what you can to get your baby to bedtime without getting overtired.
If your baby falls asleep for only 15 minutes or so, you can try to get them back to sleep. Pat, rock or feed them and see if they can manage to sleep a bit more.
.
Within 10 minutes, you’ll know whether they’re going to nap longer or not.
.
If so, that’s great!
If not, that’s ok. Move on with your day and move the next nap a bit earlier.
.
But don’t spend all day trying to get your baby to take a long nap.
.
At 6-7 months, babies can nap more predictably and on schedule when you encourage self-settling at nap time.
